It’s that time of year again and Microsoft has released their update plan for the first release of the year.  You can read all about the new functionality that is going to be released here. (Release Link)

Some notable callouts include:

1. Support for inventory pick and warehouse pick operations for jobs.  This means you can now generate all your warehousing documents when using the jobs module inside Business Central!  This is great, as this has always been a major gap in the job process.

2. Allow the sell-to and bill-to customers to be different for jobs.  This allows customers to create jobs for large construction sites where the sell-to is different that the bill to the job.  Think of a sub-contractor who gets business from the general contractor.

3. Ability to search for documents and entries directly from a search option.  This is huge, like really big, because now you can search for documents, business contacts, and item references from this search function without having to go through all the various list pages or complete reverse drill-down functions.
